Notes on design as I actually practise it: interface and UX decisions, design systems, prototyping, and the small craft choices that separate a screen that works from one that only looks finished. Most posts here come out of real client and product work rather than theory. You will find write-ups on layout and interaction details, component and design-system decisions, prototyping workflows, and the reasoning behind visual choices, drawn from Shopify, WordPress, and product work across the last several years. Each one tries to leave the trade-offs and the second-guessing in, so it is useful to someone facing the same decision rather than just a polished after-the-fact story.
